Cycles – Velar Liquid Cluster – Picture and Word Cards

This set of picture and word cards for velar liquid clusters has been designed to support intervention using the Cycles Approach in speech and language therapy.

This resource includes carefully selected target words beginning with /gl, kl, gɹ, and kɹ/, (6 pictures to choose from for each sound) in line with Barbara Hodson’s Cycles Approach. The cards feature 24 bold, engaging illustrations, helping to maintain attention and make practice more enjoyable. Picture and word cards are also provided in black and white.

This pack also includes probe sheets for other phonemes within the pattern, enabling you to probe for stimulability for your next session’s sounds.

Who is it for?

This set is ideal for children who have acquired /l/ and /ɹ/and /k/ and /g/ in their 3rd or 4th cycle, in Primary Patterns in the Cycles Approach and are working towards mastery of velar liquid clusters. In Cycles, velar liquid clusters are the last liquid clusters to be targeted.
